On Thursday, April 30th, Brooks Kushman hosted its inaugural "Women Helping Women" networking event at the Susanne Hilberry Gallery in Ferndale to aid the endeavors of two local charities: Jackets for Job and Simon House. The event not only supported women-owned businesses (it was held at a female owned art gallery and utilized the services of a female caterer and sommelier), but also collected approximately 100 articles of professional clothing for local women in need.

A team from Brooks Kushman P.C., a leading intellectual property and technology law firm, recently received a Silver Award for fundraising efforts on behalf of the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, Michigan Chapter, during the organization’s 2008 Annual Meeting and Recognition Luncheon. The team raised nearly $7,000, which will help support MS research and outreach programs.

Southfield, Mich.-based Brooks Kushman has more lawyers included in the IP categories of the 2008 Super Lawyers list than any other law firm in Michigan. The Super Lawyers list recognizes outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
