Esha’s practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications, intellectual property transactions, and licensing with a particular interest in computer software technology. She has prepared patent applications for compilers, hardware designs, automotive controls and artificial intelligence algorithms. Esha has also worked very closely with inventors and she also specializes in invention mining, novelty analysis and clearance opinions. Esha handles cases involving software licensing, patentability and software issues. Prior to joining Brooks Kushman, Esha was a patent consultant for an automotive testing agency. There she negotiated licensing agreements for automotive suppliers and computer patentability issues for automotive testing. Esha also has had programming experience in CAD technology. Esha acquired a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science Engineering as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan. She received her J.D. from the University of Michigan. She was a quarterfinalist in the Giles Sutherland Moot Court Competition.
